Mark, they are an established (1987) Portuguese company, should be no harder to get parts than Gasgas, Reiju, Beta etc.
Its a well made bike by all accounts with quality parts, the question is the power delivery and longevity of the Honda copy engine, if you search the reviews they are not bad.

The PR5 looks like a reasonable alternative to the now defunct TTR250 and 230CRF with fuel injection and modern suspension, light weight and low maintenance.
If the price is right once imported into the UK then it has to be a winner.
Unlike CCM's Chinese built CRF230 copies, these are actually modern design and tech machines built with quality components and utilising old tech tried and tested engines coupled with modern day fuel injection/ignition.
With the current exchange rate and PDI and OTR costs I reckon it's going to be closer to £4500........way too much for an air-cooled bike that isn't exactly cutting edge or laden with top level components.
Having owned a Sherco 4.5i from new I reckon parts and especially anything non-standard will be difficult to come by, no matter what the company says. Air and oil filters might be okay, but how long will you have to wait for something like plastics or God forbid, engine cases, exhaust etc.
One of the good things about buying a KTM, Yam, Honda or GasGas is that you can buy standard and bling parts and have choice about where to get the parts from, so your steed isn't off the road for long.

The little Rieju MR200 looks like a belter if you're after a small cheap new bike. About 3 and a bit grand and it has decent suspension, brakes and a proven Yam engine. Much better bet than the AJP I reckon but again - parts and bling availability probably the downside.
In my previous post, I think I should have said "the ONLY good thing about a KTM" to save people having cardiac arrest

It all makes sence but they need to make a proper down draft cylinderhead like on a sports bike. The distance/route from inlet valve to airbox intake must sap the power.
Also I'm abit concerned that the 125 and 200s seen on ebay seam to have had most of the parts replaced after very litle use!

Recent event involving a close friend......and the mark up on Shacks bike
They are a shop they need to make a profit. They need to pay staff, insurances, rent, utility bills etc. etc.. If people don't like big mark ups by dealers perhaps they should set up their own shop and see how easy it is.
Never had a problem with Greenlane, Bikeworx, Speed, Bridge, SP, NHS, DWP, DVLA or the Police (text book arrest, no complaints) - don't understand why anyone does, must be an attitudinal thing.
However this was a thread asking for dealer suggestions not the pros and cons of specific dealers. If you have any further negative opinions on my opinions - I don't care **** off.
I wonder if Tremletts in Asburton would take on a franchise such as AJP they do a lot of work for TRF folk ?
He doesn't sell motorcycles, only servicing and spares.
Only complaint I've ever heard is that he is always busy. (Didn't charge me for soldering a wire back onto my ccm rear light for it's mot this week - nice man).

A) Fair comment and I hold my hand up - you are right and I should not have posted, I apoligise to all.....
B) Like wise as long as you remember that also....
