WR 290 big bore review

Well for those of you who don't know, my big end went on my WR250. I Can only presume it was due mainly to high mileage. The bike is my everyday commuter and my green laner on weekends. So its normally used 6-7 days per week, all year round. The bike was sent off to Justin Gibbs for a repair, and to fit an Athena 290cc big bore kit instead of just replacing it with std. parts.

Several weeks later and a LARGE bill later the bike was ready.

New parts included : Athena 290 kit, conrod, big bearing, gasket set, gearbox bearings, oil pump, cam chain, cam chain tensioner.......and 6 hours of Justin's hard work. Which gave me a bill of £1220 !!!! disbeliefdisbeliefdisbeliefcrycrycry

Anyways a review of the 290 :

Its awesome & I love it biggrinbiggrin
