Somebody said the other week they had tried a DIY job with drainage tube, but it tended to break in the cold weather - can't remember who it was?

I have one of these on my bike, its had several large badger bites and its survived. Its a tractor manual tube. its quite tough.

I guess if you could get some strong pipe the DIY option would be good but the tractor tube is only £13 from ebay and there's no mucking about.
