Having recently serviced the swimbo's car i would like to turn off the service lights on the dash board, could anybody please lend me the tool to reset these ?

It may not be the same on Citroen, but my Mitsubishi codes can be reset by disconnecting the battery for more than 15 seconds.

What year and model doug ?

Most citroens can be done without tools.

Try this mate:-
Switch ignition off.
Press and hold button below & right of speedo.
Switch ignition on.
Keep button pressed for 10 seconds.  Display will now read "0" and spanner symbol will go out.
Release button.
Display will now read "=0".
Switch ignition off.
Switch ignition on.
Reset complete.
