Van and / or advice needed

Hi all, I'm in discussion with a bloke in Burnley (up-country you know) and he has a tiger (885 not tiny cub) possibly with my name on it.

Has anyone got a spare van? fancy a day out ? (well you never know) or if I were to hire a van to plonk it in the back (he will let me have it for £300 less without an MoT)

what kind of van do I want/ need and lots of  basic info about keeping my bike on 1 piece and not getting screwed by a hire company.

Our previous car had a tow bar so would have been looking for a trailer to borrow, but our previous car wouldn't have made the journeyno that's why its previous.

All help appreciated.

Do you need to go and see the bike or could you get it delivered ?

hire vans tend to be a pain to strap a road bike into as they dont have many lashing points in the van.

get a collection/delivery quote from here you may be suprised.

I would pay the extra and get him to mot it for you.
Take the bus/train up to burnley, and ride it home.

Contact him direct at info@leecostellotransport.co.uk for a quote.

Thanks all (again) I've emailed Lee and so will see what he comes back with. Shipley are coming in at around £160, train is £122! and coach is £70 (but 10hrs!) I reckon I can get the wife (need to work on those brownie points) to take me up and ride back for about £100 fuel.

Hhmm
