I did last night. Not a big accident, I was stationary at a junction and a car drove into the back of me leaving just a little obvious damage to the bike and a bump on my leg but still enough to report to my insurer. I did that first thing today and it went viral the phone hasnt stopped ringing and Ive spent all morning talking to all my new best mates about it.
AQuote, AVIVA, Minster Law, Bikers Legal Aid, Ocean BMW, Enterprise, Plantech, Hero and probably others I cant remember - not that I can remember what most of the above are doing.
Ocean are collecting it tomorrow.
The Mobile Doctor will call me to arrange an examination
BLG will call again in a week to discuss a loan bike and any damage to my kit when I know more about my bike, kit and leg.
There does seem to be an element of ambulance chasing going on here so it's hardly surprising premiums keep going up. Speaking of which my bike cover is up for renewal TOMORROW! so that's going to be interesting.

Just renewed and it went up £75 I'll be able to recover that once the claim is settled but it's still very, very annoying.
Had a similar thing happen to me in the mid/second half of the 90's, boy racer knocked me off at a mini-roundabout at Exmouth. Got whiplash at the time but my lower back has got worse and worse since then but wasn;t taken into account at the time, so take all available compensation!
