I think like too many sports it's all about stars n Red Bull whatever's have stolen the show and attracted the sponsors.

Austin Vince wrote very well about the subject of personal participation in sport or adventure and the ridiculousness of over paid n hyped sports stars, adventurers  creating a mass media feeling of I can't do that....

That is insecurity causing that feeling.  As Austin proved, yes you can.  If it wasn't for kiddywinks I think I'd be miles away by now...

Very little, I think it was bought up by an internet TV company this year, I recall much moaning in the MX forums.

But Goodwood Festival of Speed was an awsome day out. I have never seen so much magnificent machinery in one place in my life! From John Surtees' MV Augusta to Geoff Duke's Gilera and Honda 250 4's in between. Highly recommended!
