After my recent evening ride I definitely need more candle power emitting from the front of the DRZ. Since mine is the E it only has a useless plastic lens that has clouded up and the feeble bulb would fail to be brighter than the 6V indicators on my old C90.
So, I have a headlight but I need a cowl to fit it.
Looks like you've had an after-market headlight on that Craig.
The standard fit 'E' headlight is glass lens and has a 55w fixed beam halogen - bright but blinding to oncoming traffic.
I tried to modify mine to take a twin filament bulb but in the end gave up and bought an Acerbis Cyclops headlight which works very well. Twin 55watt bulbs which I've wired to both be on together for high beam - very nice on the lanes at night..
Thanks Rich for the info. I will look into a more suitable replacement. I'll then have to fit a front brake light switch to ensure I get a proper mot .
Ha Ha have you seen the light after our ride the other night!! You could do with a brighter tail light so I've got something to follow in the darkness .
