Dog attack on 192-011

One of our members was recently attacked by a dog outside the property at the end of 192-011. He said the dog "got a good hold of my leg" and suffered torn trousers. The dog was described as "too aggressive to hang around" so the group didn't take its master to task about letting such an animal run loose.

Has anyone else had this experience?

 Cheers,

John

I suggest a call to the police is the first thing to do.

It would be much appreciated if it was reported as hopefully a visit from the police would reduce the likelihood of it happening again next time one of us ventures that way .

The incident was over a month ago in July so probably too late to take action now which is why I was asking for any other experiences and, had there been, could raise it then.

Streetview actually does show a dog taking an interest in the camera car so, anyone local and brave enough to take a look? If you do make sure your trousers are tucked into your Alpinstars! smile

Cheers,

John

I've got a "dog Dazer" device ( bit like a remote control) that scared off quite a few aggressive dogs on trips in south east asia . Anyone doing a recce is welcome to borrow and test!

I wish I had one every time I get harried by the terrier on 191-044

I always take two 'dog dazers' with me, one either side of the bike. They're made of leather and plastic with straps and buckles, came in size 9 but other sizes are available smilesmilesmile

Cheers,

John
