A friend of mine was talking about these guys who offer Green Lane and Trials experiences.
I'd guess that they may possibly be DTRF members anyway, but can anybody tell me something about them? Good or bad! (PM me if you'd prefer not to make it public).
Any other suggestions for Green Lane Experiences around Devon?
I used a place in Tiverton some years back, on DRZ400's. This was a superb day, but I'm not sure if they are still going or not.
Not got any mates with a tatty machine they don't mind lending (not offering my humble tractor, but someone might have something)
Yeah - I've just sold my spare bike, or I would have offered to take him out - timing is everything!
Open to offers, though - he's ridden lots of big road bikes including track-prepared R1, and done a number of track days - just nothing recent away from the tarmac. This would be a good option if I could source a bike.
I spoke to a guy at Muddy Wheels (Chris- I think!), last year, with the view of hiring one of his trials bikes for the afternoon. Seemed a decent kind of bloke, and his prices were good too. Never got around to it though. I'd be interested to hear if anyone has been and had a go.
Chris.

It would appear that I am quite grumpy today; strangely, I didnt notice this until I came into contact withidiots.
It is myself that offers the Trials riding experience and the hire of Green Laning bikes with the option of being guided round my local lanes.
I was indeed the owner of Okemoto but 2009 was a horrid year for me financially and Okemoto had to come to an end, however with the support of some great family and friends I was able to keep the Trials riding going up in north Devon and found a new business partner to back the motorcycle hire business and two years later we are making steady progress.
We have just recently purchased some greenlaning bikes and I am in the process of renewing my DTRF membership, as I feel it is an excellent organisation that deserves the support of as many riders as possible.
We are still located at Fatherford Farm in Okehampton and have started to reintroduce motorcycle clothing and accessories into our small shop. We have plenty of suppliers offering all sorts of kit and DTRF members will be entitled to receive up to 20% off items bought from us.
As for the greenlaning bikes, we have 4 currently 1x GasGas EC 250 1x Yamaha TTR 250 and 2x CCM CX-R 230s.
Hire of the bike is £75 for the day with a £300 security deposit and we can also supply riding kit as required, so if you have freinds and/or family that want to go laning but are unsure about it, this can be a great way to get them on board without the expense of getting their own bike and kit until they're ready to do so.
You can contact me on 01837 52012 or 07805 202385.
Fancy coming up for a spuddle on the trials bikes and was discussing with someone in work only a week or two ago - how many can you cater for in a 'session' as i could be interested in arranging a small 'posse' to come up...
At the moment we only have the 4 trail bikes one of which I ride myself making it 3 available for hire unless you wanted to collect all 4 bikes with friends and head off yourselves. I could well be looking at one or two more in the comming weeks/months but need to move a couple of the main fleet on to do this.
As for the Trials riding I can take up to 6 at a time and no licence is required.
Hi Chris, Do you still hire trail bikes & does this include the kit (helmet, boots etc)? A friend from Maidstone is down next month & is thinking about trying Devons lanes. He's ridden road bikes for over 30 years & recently did some greenlaning in Herts, which he enjoyed. If it all works out I'd come out with 3 or 4 other TRF members to show him Devons finest
