Moor to Sea Anyone?

Got the list and route through. Not many names I recognise. If any TRF riders are participating, give me a nod and a wave. I'll be #44.biggrin

...obviously this arse kicking will take place in the car park and in no way be a competitive ride on a TRF course smile.

I would also be worried about losing my leg forever if I kicked his ass biggrin

I'll be number 0

Don't overtake me or the section will not be open when you get there as I'll be carrying the sticks

There are half a dozen spectator friendly sections listed below with an X-marks the spot link and the section opening time.
180 riders are setting off from Newton Abbot at 8am, two per minute, look out for riders 61 - 115 doing the champoinship red route

Looking forward to Parkers; section 3
http://www.trfdevon.org.uk//xmarks/xmarks.html?g=SX7943571308&t=SX7943571308
nothing like a hillclimb nice and early, opens 8:45

In the wood at the bottom of 191-086 section 13 opens 10:35
Big lumpy rocks to bounce over

Three sections 17,18,19 in Houndtor woods, opens 11:45
http://www.trfdevon.org.uk//xmarks/xmarks.html?g=SX7424879408&t=SX7424879408
18 & 19 will have an alternative red route for the champoinship class and are bound to be quite a spectacle

Bottor rock, section 20 opens 12:15
http://www.trfdevon.org.uk//xmarks/xmarks.html?g=SX8215679740&t=SX8215679740
Enjoy watching people dodge the trees while roots send them sideways

Vooghts, section 21 opens 12:45
http://www.trfdevon.org.uk//xmarks/xmarks.html?g=SX8918876653&t=SX8918876653
Laugh as people fill their boots with water

Venn, section 22 opens 13:00
http://www.trfdevon.org.uk//xmarks/xmarks.html?g=SX9223775031&t=SX9223775031
Slippery roots on an off camber turning climb will test grip

I expect there will be a special test in Decoy woods at the end of the day but I haven't got the last sheet of the route

Good luck, and have fun

Number 10......... early start won't guarantee an early finish. Number 11 in tow for his first attempt. He's been told to make sure he gets through the sections easily by putting his feet down as many times as possible ! are you sure thats right dad? why would i lie to you son !

Craig

It is a treat to get to ride it twice in two days. I only did the bit north of the dual carriageway. I didn't have to pay for my cheeseburger & tea at lunchtime. And stopping to put L. R. or S.O. markers/Arrows to guide competitors doesn't slow you down unduely. I rode 55 miles today in 5 hours and apart from breaking my mirror falling off in 'Paradise' I had a lovely day

This years course looks less intimidating than last.

I wonder if I'll ever get to the top of Parkers?

A couple of years ago I watched Merlin make it look easy, then I made it look impossible no. Will history repeat itself confuse.

At least there shouldn't be a hold up at Piggery wink
