Sad news no

Just looked at the rankings http://www.dakar.com/dakar/2012/us/stage-1/rankings/overall-bikes.html and was surprised to see a Brit, Sam Sunderland, in 7th place confuse

 As coppied from KTMforum.co.uk

"One to watch is young Sam Sunderland...UK expat who at 22 is a very very good rider especially as he lives in Dubai and has been under the stewardship off James West who is the UAE Honda manager there...another very very good rider."

Sunderland has still not hit the check point, so he could be out.

A French rider no.44 on a Yammy hit a cow at 110mphdoh He was airlifted with a bleeding kidneydisbelief

Well Sam Sunderland is on the start list for today at 159th place (out of 166 starters) so it looks like he got in eventually.

He was not far behind Jago and Toby

Jago Pickering 152nd

Toby Younger 156th

Stan Watt is now top Brit in 58th

Time to get him down for another talk then, me and him can carry on our drinking competition from last time. Great bloke, great talent and a good speaker. Gets even better after a guiness or four!
