Indivdual preference I suppose but It can be a nuisance to me as I still receive Run Sheets giving the rider's Forum name yet, when I look them up in 'User Details' I find they like to remain anonymous.
But, as Pete suggests, there may well be spies among us
You'll find that since Feb 2010 users have had to have their name completed along with location before they get approved (which is why we get no Spam postings), so those without name/location are either users who registered between August 08 to Feb 2010, or who after being approved have chosen to remove their name/location.
This may change again after the weekend of 4th/5th Feb when a new TRF Members only area of the forum will come into effect.
Yeah the yahoo forum is a bind, once this is sorted i'll stick it on hold, best keep yahoo running in the back ground just in case, cos this active board does have its wobbly moments. And Yahoo does let us hold files!!
Thing is someone will still have to administer this forum, i.e. add new members and delete the non renewed ones.

This forum will hold files, you just need to pay for the $7.95 per month. This also then gives you a chat room, plus you can send every forum member just a message in one hit rather than individually. You get a 30 day free trial

Said it a million times before (OK, maybe not quite that many ) but you can host your own forum on the DTRF webspace that does all of these things and more. I even set up a test forum with files and everything but none of my test audience tried it
Its been discussed twice before at group meetings but 'room' decided to save its pennies for other things
I also don't see what's wrong with this forum in terms of the facilities we have. Why pay for a chat section that'll just be a nightmare to moderate. This forum is very active at times so is almost like a live a chat.
