Ok thanks, just to clarify I am needing the drive for the front wheel from the blue frame model ttr or wrf 250 400 426 450 99-04 pre digital can anybody help with this one please......
I used a fairing repair kit I already had to reclaim my plastic Honda speedo drive when it wore out. A bit fiddly but possible. The catch is that the kit costs more than the replacement part.
Contact TTR (link above) for spares or go direct to Yamaha for a replacement.

Hi Chris
I am not sure the TTR speedo drive will be what you need. It has metal worm gears - no white plastic in the drive unit!
The spare gear assemblies I have are in a state and are probably not repairable.
I have been buying new ones as replacements (Yamaha Part # 4PX-25190-00-00) and I am pretty sure that they only fit a TTR250 - and possibly a DT125 as the DT125 speedo gear can be used on the TTR250 at a pinch.
I sell the new ones at £90 plus p&p so its definitely NOT a cheap option
Many thanks for the info mr TTR... like the ttr the wrf has a metal worm drive that mates to a white plastic sleeve that fits over the front spindle bolt and has two 'lugs' that then fit between the two lugs on the wheel hub, this part has become chewed. Unfortunately yamaha dont sell this part alone so its gonna be the complete drive unit which is gonna cost more than a decent aftermarket Vapor unit!.....oh well thanks all for your help but it looks like this unit is !!!
