Such a nice day was promised and I had a spare hour or two - "get out on the lanes", thought I.
It had started a bit misty down here on the coast, so I thought I'd head inland and I called at Mr TTR's for a coffee. He asked which way I'd come.
I told him and had a bit of a chin wag, looked around the works, etc. His new TTR project is looking very nice.
After a welcome cup of coffee and more chinwag I said that I'd be off home.
He said, "Watery Lane's not bad at the moment, try it."
What does he know? A few minutes afterwards I was met with this.
Nice and sunny, no mist, I admit, but it got worse than this before I got to terrafirma.
I thought I would wend my way home via Otterton and as soon as I had left Woodbury Common I was met with mist, and cold.
This was at the top of Otterton.
Not as wet, but what lay ahead?
Anyway, I decided to call in at the King's Arms for one before getting home, so I wasn't too disappointed.

BTW - The patio excavation's looking nice, Brian. Keep the workmen working hard - you're giving them too much refreshment!
You're never too old to learn something stupid.

Good to see you earlier Martin!
It took until lunch time for the mist to clear and it started to get chilly about 4pm and the mist is rolling in again now
The "workmen" seem cheerful enough and certainly work harder when plied regularly with strong coffee

Doughnuts at 4pm keeps the blood sugar levels up,
Sponsored by Radox!!!
That's more than true Jacks!
If I had doughnuts at a.m. or p.m. or anytime (even 4pm) it wouldn't just keep my blood/sugar up - it'd send it into orbit!
Some people have all the fun! (and pasties)
