MAG are organising another protest ride on 24.6.12 (details here) against the proposed EU laws and I'm planning on attending. Met and rode with Harty at the last one, it was a great spectacle to be part of. Hope to see many of you there I'm also writing more letters to MEPs so this doesn't pass due to public apathy (draft letter here, use it!).
Off to the Stella alpine rally again next month, these new EU rules mean I've got to carry a breathalyser with me, furkin crazy!. Another EU rule the cheese eating surrender monkeys are enforcing next January 2013, is that all motorcyclists have to wear reflective gear.

Good link. I would know all about it now if I had managed to sustain interest enough to read it all. Just doesn't seem relevant. The Euro Talking Shop has as much credibility as their doomed currency. Good excuse for a ride out if it didn't get people so upset.
Where and when are the Northbound riders starting from?

Happy to meet up - I forgot you can't cross the M5 at Taunton, so it'll mean riding up to the next junction then back down to the services. I was going to suggest meeting at Exeter services but I bet that'll be manic. How about meeting at somewhere like Cullompton, say about 12.15? What will you be riding? I'll be on a blue Triumph Sprint ST. Might get away with a dry ride tomorrow too
cant make 12.15 at cullumpton so will probably catch up with you along the route somewhere.

Sorry, didn't get to see you Jason, far too many bikes about! Just got back, awesome little rideout, very well natured and lots of people waving and taking photos from bridges and the like. Seemed to take forever to get from Taunton Deane to Lee Mill but was great to see tons of bikes.
I was the one waving from the blue footbridge at J29 - couldn't get rid of the kids to join the ride myself, so thought we'd just come and watch the ride pass by. Might even post some footage later.
I was wearing my 'EU Hands off Biking' T-shirt, though!

Probably saw you then, I recall a few people there
Just all seems a bit of a pointless exercise really. We should take note of the French who do proper demo's and bring the country to a stand still so that everyone gets pissed off and at least takes notice.

I didn't stop at Plymouth, I was busting for a leak and the queue of bikes to get in the services was massive. I turned around at the next junction and rode rather briskley () home. Hope you thought it was as good as I did. Oh, and hopefully see you early tomorrow evening....

That's a strike not a demo Disagree about it being pointless, great excuse for a ride, it got positive TV coverage and at least gets our views known. It also supports the lobbying groups/individuals do in the background, a fair few of the proposals have already dropped out....
