Feck me....this fecking country.......why oh why do I work????
My lad is Looking at going to Petroc (Tiverton) college later this year and I'm looking at the transport options for him.
As I'm a hard working, contributing member of society a bus pass for him is
£500....
If I happen to be on benefits.....
Qualifying Benefits
The qualifying benefits to apply for financial support with travel costs include:
Income Support
Jobseekers Allowance (Income-based)
Employment Support Allowance (Income Related)
The Guarantee element of Pension Credit
The maximum level of Working Tax Credit (WTC)
Child Tax Credit if it is the only benefit you receive and your annual income, as assessed by the Inland Revenue, does not exceed £16,190.
Support under part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
How much is it then do you recon ????
£50
I would get him a car......but thats gonna be £2000 - £3000 for the insurance alone
Time to pack up and feck off I recon - I'm sick to bloody death of it I don't know why he's bothering to try and better himself - may as well sit on his arse and let all the mugs like me cough up and provide for him, I recon its far more cost effective
A friend of mine in Uffculme who's lad is starting college in Exeter in Sept is having to pay £1500!!
My disabled daughter who uses an electric wheelchair has been in the same special needs school since she was 10 and has transport provided as it's only only school who can cater for her needs. Now she's over 16, she has to pay £500 per year for transport to the same school that they now class as a college once she turns 16, even though she's been in the same class for the last 4 years!

I drive past a pub going back to our depot and see the same faces outside drinking and smoking most days i couldnt afford to do it and i work must be doing something wrong i reckon ..... still as a sticker i saw in a van yesterday said - KEEP WORKING HARD MILLIONS ON BENEFIT NEED YOUR SUPPORT - never a truer word said
Recieved this email the other day. Not sure if this is true or more rumours....but if it is true!!!!!
A doctor told me that a woman in her late 20's came to the hospital today with her 8th pregnancy.
She told the first doctor she saw: "My mum told me that I am the breadwinner for the family."
He asked her to explain.
She said that she can make babies and babies get money from the State for the family. --It goes like this:
The Grandma calls the Department for work and pensions, and states that the unemployed daughter is not capable of caring for all of her kids. DWP agrees, and tells her the children will need to go into foster care.
The Grandma then volunteers to be the foster parent, and receives a cheque for £700 per childeach month.
Total yearly income:
£58,800 soon to become £67,200 when the 8th one is born, tax-free and nobody has to go to work!
In fact, they get more if there is no husband/father/man in the home! The brother does not count.
Not to mention free dental treatment, free housing, free council tax free school dinners, free tuition fees at college or Uni, free eyecare and glasses, free prescriptions and various other benefits...
Total value of all benefits combined probably approaching £100,000 per annum which would require an income of around £148,000 to create. About my salary as a senior consultant with years of experience and surgical skills in a central London teaching hospital
Indeed, Grandma was correct that her fertile daughter is the "breadwinner" for the family.
This is how the politicians spend our taxes. When this generous programme was invented in the '60s, the Great Society architects forgot to craft an end date... and now we are hopelessly overrun with people who vote only for those who will continue to keep them on the dole.....
No wonder our country is broke! Worse, our Muslim brothers have been paying attention and, by mandating that each Muslim family have eleven children, they will soon replace the voting bloc above and can be running this country. Are we alarmed yet, is anybody listening?
Sincerely

Don't forget to pay your taxes!!
There are a lot of "breadwinners" depending on you!
When I went to college it was 300 a term if I wanted a bus pass. I just rode the 40 miles a day on my 50cc! That only cost me about 15 a week lol bike did go through 7 pistons in that year :s but mainly cos I rode everywhere at about 9-10k rpm haha
I prefer the simple honest dignity of paying my way to the empty souless selfish dole mentality which seems so prevalent. And yes I do resent those lazy c#nts who can afford to drink and smoke all day while they whinge about how hard done by they are because they have to put pen to paper once a fortnight. I enjoy peace of mind they can't afford though.
Seriously though JT you could 'kick him out', find another (postal) address, and he would qualify for the benefits we pay for.
Don't get too hung up about it, its a bummer and it sucks and it will never ever get sorted
Take my situation for example, never missed a days work in 34 years, paid my taxes and NI taxes, and paid taxes on anything I bought with what little I had left after paying my taxes and NI.
I employed people and paid their tax and NI (employers tax) and then paid VAT and tax on everything I did and sold.
Then I got ill and couldn't work or pay taxes anymore so the nice government fixed me up with some overpaid consultants that didn't know what the feck they were doing and sent me home to rot with no entitlements to any help financially as because I paid taxes and NI I was not needy because thats the way it is.
The world is a strange place indeed, but be reassured its not so bad here after all, just switch the telly on and check out the news here and there cos believe it or not despite the shat sytem we have in place we are indeed a country mile ahead of the rest of the world.
I can think of a few major cities I might want to nuke to 'aid the situation' in the UK but hey, life sucs deal with it.
JT Look on the bright side, at least he can get to college by bus, my daughter went to college in taunton no public transport from Beer to Taunton unless she left at five in the morning and got back about 8 at night, so we were doing 100 mile a day for two years taking her to college, and you cant get a grant for that
And by the way 45 years ago you could get a train from Seaton to Taunton, took just under an hour, thanks a lot Dr Beeching and his political masters
