A mate of mine has a YZ250 2 smoke registered for the road. Just a race number board on the front (no headlight) and a number plate. You don't need a brake light or even a tail light for daytime MOT.

You do now need a reflector at the rear though. So the answer to the question is not a lot. Probably £100 at a stretch.
KTM made in Austria. Husqvarna made in Italy. Husky side stands made of steel mine has never broken, i can even leave it on the stand so i can give the motor a good kick start !!

Yeh, I like the look of them too but aren't they just KTM's with different body work - or am I missing something? Do they also suffer from the KTM side stand issues? BTW - I am also interested in a lightweight 250 for the future so just wondering if a Husky should be on my wish list...
Not knocking - far from it, I like 'em - but every time I take some parts in from them to PGH the parts guys whinges that it's taken months to get it. If you have a good supply of consumables then great but what is it like getting plastics/internal engine stuff etc?
From past experiences with Betas you were fine with engine parts as it's all KTM but bearings and plastics seemed to be unique to them and caused some supply problems

Yeap correct, kerry had left the ignition on overnight so the battery was flat when he got here, he was all smiles before we set of until he hit the magic button, pushed it up and down my street for many minutes we all had a go it started eventually and yes the trailer lights were buggered as well i think

yes it was a bit embassrazingggg my fault ! what with a high kick start and being to short in the leg not so easy to start and although early gas gas 450s not known for there reliability, mine 08reg was find until i snapped the chain at Whiteway and damaged the gearbox ? new suspension rubbers sorted out the old trailer still in use !!!
