The Search facility in ActiveBoard (generally - not just on this forum) is pretty naff.
It is better to use Google and specify that you want the search on this forum e.g. put this into the Google search bar and see how many results you get compared to the ActiveBoard Search!

I get 15,100 results in Google and 21 using this forum's Serach function.
This is the same issue/problem on most other sites but searching doesnt always reflect the most up to date info.
I can search for an issue with bike X, and get some 2 year-old feedback. But by now we have more experience of said bike and different opinions from different riders.
The same might even be said for repairs etc - probably some great info in our database, but is it up to date and does someone now have a far better way of doing it?
I guess a search should be done first but if information looks dated, or the fix doesnt work then ask................
I think the forum would go very quiet if we all simply used/read the vast and often old information that's in there. But on the flip side too many easily answerable questions are just a search click away.........
