I've been talking about this for the past year or so, but haven't got round to it yet.

I really fancy a bash at this.

Spoke to them on the phone, they have several Saturdays and Sundays available before Christmas, he is going to email me a list. Cost for day all in is £130. Will post the list when I get it.

Always fancied a trials bike, never road one but this might be a good insight

Nick Whats the price for using your own bike ?

You jammy s***, if you want to come along with a group and have a trials bike (not a trail bike) you only pay land fee of £5.00 and a couple of beers for Chris (the Muddy wheels guy) if you learn something. Basically the main cost is for the hire of the bike.

I have had a call back from Chris of Muddy Wheels. They have the following dates available Sat 24 or Sun 25 Nov and 12 or 13 of Jan. Would be a maximum of 5 riders. £30 deposit in advance per rider to secure the booking with balance on the day (£30 deposit plus £100 on the day total £130). He does not do group discount, but his prices are keen when you compare them to other sites.

I would like to go on the 24 or 25 Nov, anybody else interested in either of those dates and would want to make up a group? The dates are on a first come first serve basis. So would need to get in quite quickly.

The 24th would be best for me but I could make the 25th.

I'm up for that Nick could probably make either day but the 25th would be bettersmile trials bike ummmm could be a steep learning curve me thinks!

I'll give this date a miss, as I'm off to portugal the following weekend. Don't want a 'mishap' to ruin 3-days riding in the 'sun'(?)

Might look at doing the New Year, so will let people know about the later booking.

Thanks,

Alex

Nick,

I'll give a day or two and see if anyone grabs that last spot if not I will take it.

I have some interest in work and my lad is interested so I may have another go at setting up a seperate session anyway.

I've been about 3 times with my son as it was the only way to get him off road with tuition (other than Wheldon) under 16 years of old. He always asks for it as his Xmas and Birthday present.

He is a keen BMX rider and the skills transferred remarkably well to the trials bike. I found 4 hours ample (I think it was £70 including all kit) and it does wonders for your wheelie, balance and slow control skills.

Highly recomended

This is a clip of my son messing about at the end of the session. Both Chris and I were cream crackered by then
