This happened a few months ago, but only just got the editing software to get it on YouTube. (video below)
Well this is my worst green laning/offroading off I've ever had to date. Everyone looses there balance or footing now and then, but being completely out of control of your bike was terrifying, and scared the poop out of me. Luckily enough I managed to capture it on my GoPro for your entertainment !!
It happened so suddenly and fast its hard to put a finger on what actually happened. The part of the lane descents is slatey and a steps down slightly (nothing compared to devils etc.) I think as I've gone down a step, my foot slipped a bit off my peg, I've grabbed hold of the bars to maintain body position and accidently grabbed a handful of throttle !! Of course then the fiesty 200 2t engine had instantly responded and took off like a rocket ! The front wheel came up, and I should of just flipped it anf fallen off the back of the bike. But I hit a mud bank that doglegs out of this lane half way down the descent. So something hit this bank, guessing my front wheel ? And then I got thrown over the handle bars and went a bit air born !! The bike done a whole 180 degrees and was facing back up the lane its not quiet clear on the vid what happens, you just see things spinning as i fly !!
I landed on my back and had a very sore back, neck and shoulder. I was slightly concussed at first, didn't really know where I was. Seen as this lane was pretty close to home, I managed to crawl my way back home ok. Worst journey of my life tbh !! When I got home I couldnt lift my helmet off my head, as my shoudler and neck was so sore and needed help removing it and most of my gear. I later tried to eat my tea and realised I couldnt swallow my food so we headed u to A&E for several hours for a check up. Everything was ok and nothing too serious. Managed to get myself a black eye too somehow
Anyway I think this may be a prime example of not to go out laning by yourself. I wouldn't normally, and I was ment to be going out with a friend, but he dropped out, and I went out anyway, in intention to get some good GoPro footage !! I guess I did ?? This lane is pretty close to home, and I have rode it 100's of times, up and down. So just goes to show that even if its a familiar lane, it can catch you out still ! I think I was lucky in my situation, and managed to get home alright. But then Im still young and bounce, unlike so old folk
First thing - Glad your alright, sounds like you've had a nasty experience Ben!
Most people don't take advice too easily and we've all done it the hard way (even me loads of time) as long as you go away and think about whats happened and take everything onboard as you have, hopefullly we all learn and go away much more wiser than before
Character building can be harsh at times but everything we do in life has a risk, thats why most people find things like this attractive

+1, sorry to hear/see that. Difficult though isn't it? Sometimes the pull to go out on your own is too big, we've all done it and will continue to do so no doubt.
Glad it ended well had a very similar spill not long after getting my 250 Exc (ask Doug ) love the 2T but very unforgiving if the throttle is inadvertantly ripped open
