Ruski 2x3

I saw this posted on the national TRF site:-

LINKY THINGY

It looks a very ingenious contraption but I don't think it'll catch on in Devon.  nobiggrin

Surely it was 3x3?

I could see the sidcar wheel driving too?

The shaft + u/j to the front wheel looked a touch exposed but delightfully simple.

I sit (easier than standing) corrected, Pete. smile

Thank you, I was more intrigued by the front wheel drive confuse and never noticed the "rooster" from the side-car wheel as the machine left the water. blankstare

3x3 it must be

I am guessing it is a Ural or Dnepr outfit, even though it has Rus on the tank confuse. They were usually two wheel drive in right hand drive form. I do love that front drive system though. There is even a winch on the front.

Some of the youtube links that come up with that video are worth following too. Some interesting incidents with very large cranes.

It seems to go better in reverse wink.
