Cheers, that could be good.

I believe the '05 exhaust is different to the previous models though, but I may be corrected.

I'll try & find out.

The 2004 exhaust is part# 5TA-14611-00 and looks very different to the 2005 part# 5TJ-14611-00

Good source for info mr TTR, some u.s models or rather the silencer had turned up on our shores 'grey' import ( ah remember those days of cheap foreign market dirt bikes ) that were stainless steel ala' wr426 and were shorter in length with a removable baffle, didn't help the power removed just annoyingly too loud, still see them pop up on fleabag occasionally...later alloy looked more modern but still chocked the life out of the engine, not good as the 450 is quiet heavy and needs power to pull it.......still I'm sure the side was better built than the tango'd ktm's of today!! lol

Fmf q4 isn't much louder than the stock alloy silencers and add loads of power and torque

+1 Yerp that's the best route to go, a decent strong lightweight FMF Q4 but they can be pricey Steve

The Q4 option is one i'm thinking about but didn't really want to spend that much. I don't know if i'm going to like the bike enough to keep it yet. I really need to lower it as well or I can see record numbers of Del Boys & leaning jowlers spotted in East Devon in the new year

If you want to hear a Q4 on a bike then come listen to mine Steve - Q(uiet) it is not disbelief

Hamster's 450 has got a whisper quiet exhaust - perhaps find out what he runs?

I would have thought that with your slender torso it wouldn't matter losing a few percent of a HP to keep the WR in stealth mode - still plenty in reserve wink

See Gaschef and I'm sure he will either have a lowering link or make one for you.
