Question for you 2 stroke lads, when out laning and it's time to stop for a refuel. Do u always make sure someone has a mixing can or do u simply add 20/25ml then 1 litre and do it directly?!
What's your solution to this problem? I'm not sure how to approach this in future?!
personaly i went for the largest fuel tank i could get without making it too heavy for what i want.
You can get almost any size up to 24 litres.
I dont like mixing it at the petrol station, but a friend of mine does what you said. He carrys a small bottle of the exact amount oil then fuels it to match.

When I used to have a two storke without autolube, I would take a metal bottle with screw on cap containing two stroke oil (metal, because if I fell on it it wouldn't break). I measured how much would go into the bottle and when filling up could work out how much oil to add to the amount of petrol I just put in.
Use one of these to measure to oil, when filling up turn off fuel first,ad petrol then the correct amount of oil. Give it a good slosh about before turning fuel back on
OIL stage6 two stroke oil measuring bottle 50:1 40:1 33:1 Price: £3.06 inc VAT (£2.55 ex vat) Part Number: s6-0222
250ml oil bottle with markings for oil ratios 50:1 40:1 33:1 Oil measuring jug Stage6 This oil measuring jug from Stage 6 features all important scales. It comes in handy if you want to mix the fuel-oil-mixture yourself and is of course closeable so that you also can use it to store the oil. The lettering is resistant to oil and fuel
It's ok guys that's resolved it for me, I have a tub for oil so il fill up and then put in the relevant amount of oil and give a good shake, just wanted to make sure this was the done thing really :D
Go to Tesco's and pick up a 3 pack of 100 ml bottles from the Travel, holiday section. The bottles are marked to 100ml but you can actually put in 125ml. I use them and I've had no problems, and they are cheap.
I use an old plastic Levi Roots sauce bottle. They have the same self sealing opening as a ketchup bottle. Measured amounts of water and scratch a line according to your pre-mix ratio. In my case 40:1. Once empty and dry, fill it with your oil. Make sure you mark it so it works upside down when sqirting it in the tank.

All i ever did was carry a 1l bottle of motul 710 as they have the best containers... that dont leak, fill the tank right up then just chuck a bit of oil in using the side of the bottle as a rough guide. Never had a issue this way and beats carrying all that measureing malarky
Yer you must hate seeing how easy they are to ride, floating over the rocks, through the ruts, quick to turn and generally a right buzz to ride, that's why they need to be behind, so you can't to huge smile on the riders face
Ummm, so why have I just sold mine......
Damm, must go back to ebay
