Motorcycle clothing suitable for road bike

I have a full wardroobe of stuff suitable for dirty riding, but may be getting a road bike shortly and so am in need of armoured and ideally (but not essential) waterproof jacket and trousers. Anyone got some they want to sell or can point me in the direction of some good stuff?

Jacket would be a 40" max

Trousers a 34"

Doesn't matter if they don't match as I am no fashionistawink

Cheers, Andy

See here - you could do a lot worse!

I fancy a pair of the Kevlar jeans myself even though I don't really do road biking....

Not sure yet. Thinking about a European road trip late summer so just planning ahead. Probably be something like a Versys or V-Strom, in 650cc guise as I can't be trusted with big cube power.....disbelief

Think I can get armour for my Klim jacket and am sorted for boots, gloves and lid, so just waterproof armoured trousers needed. Will have a closer look at the HG stuff later.

I have just been using the trousers from my two piece leathers and oversuit for wet weather with my trail jacket. The downside is when you go walkabout as the trousers tend to be tailored for sitting.

Might be worth keeping an eye out on preloved or gumtree and ebay for good secondhand stuff usually quite a few two piece leathers around, granted they can be a bit hot in the summer but having them on does make you feel less vunerable than say kevlar jeans which seem to be mega bucks for good armoured ones. Longshanks I think bought some recently see what he has?

I know you say you are sorted for a jacket but I have a top notch Rukka RVP that I don't use in very good nick - as I recall it was £400-£500 odd quid new. Would do you a good deal wink

Just been and turned it out - its a 54 Europian so thats about a 44 in 'Proper' size - its an RVP air has shoulder, back and elbow protectors and a zip out inner. Has a zip for trousers and has no rips or tears....

Just had a squizz on the net and the current versions go for over £1000 ashamed may have to rethink my pricing structure!!!!
