The Petition closed last week with the following repsonse: 

"The Attorney General is always ready to explain to Parliament any decision reached by the CPS. However, a debate could not affect the decisions already taken and it is not fair to individuals who have not been charged to face a debate other than through the formal trial process on whether they are guilty or not of any offence".
