He was known to enjoy doing 100 mph along Bovey Straight on his Brough Superior, (and remember that tarmac had not been invented then!).

my dad used to ride with him occasionally as he was also Bournemouth / Poole based. ( a '16H Norton' was often mentioned )

Another of their mates playing 'chicken' in the dark, with two of his friends approaching, opted to ride between em .........

it turned out to be a bus ....... oops

Death was no stranger to these lads.

we have got his brough ul656 George vi the one before the bike he was killed on, it has not run in the last 50 years , want to get it running some time, need a few bits 1st.
