Just downloaded a copy of this months trail mag, apart from the fact that it took nearly 20 mins to down load, half of the scanned pages are so out of focus they are unreadable. If I had paid for advertising I would be extremely hacked off with the lack of quality control
On top of that I find it impossible to log onto the Trf national forum to complain
Still this is progress, proper printers would not let work out like that, but it's alright to send out shoddy electronic copy
Maybe next month will be better, if it isn't I probably won't bother again
If a mod wants to pass this on to the editor please be my guest,

My E mail for it tells me there is an issue with the security cert (again).....
I just added an exception and it let me download it. I've deleted all the photos of ice cream tubs, bits of mobile phone and wires from my PC years ago so I doubt the CIA will come knocking.
Well just tried to download again on a different computer and still a lot of the pages are out of focus, and the computer bod here says nothing wrong with his system
Electronic delivery was supposed to make things cheaper and simpler, well Trf have half the wish it's certainly cheap and it shows,as for simpler it's not
Maybe that's why you can't log in with a complaint to the national site, as theydon't want members to know how bad it really is
As for membership renewal next year lets just wait and see if it improves
I for one am not impressed, one of the reasons I gave for accepting it was I would be able to get Trail when I was offshore some bloody hope of that
Bleddy good job some of us do complain

I guess teething troubles are to be expected for something new. The out of focus thing you mention indicates to me that the file isn't fully downloaded when you're trying to view it (common with PDFs) - either you have a slow or dodgy connection or the hosting website is overwhelmed or experiencing problems. My advice? Chill the **** out.
Given up trying to get it, The mainframe system just chucks it out as the TRF security is so lax it wont accept it, and I cant bypass it. Have tried a couple of other WIFI sources fairly fast connections and I have donwloaded a couple of large pdf files, but trail mag not a chance still comes through with half the pages out of focus, and it is the same on my laptop, Ipad and the puter in my office

I suggest that you lot check out your systems, i had no problems whatsoever. Ensure you have the latest PDF plugin's for the browser you are using (i suggest google chrome). The download is large 48mb especially if you live in the sticks be patient. Strange the pictures are in focus for me Tim (1280 x 1024 resolution).
Well I emailed the communications guy at TRF, Seems they are unaware of anyone having any problems at all with the electronic Trail mag. but then remembered and noted that pages were a bit blurry and out of focus when someone at TRF tried to access it when abroad, and they have a team who are looking into the security issues. mmmmmm
He also notes he will be contacting the Devon TRF, so to save him the trouble, if you have had a problem with accessing the Trail mag drop him an email, he will look forward to hearing from you
Security warning and won't let me download it so what am I paying my £45 for just send me a magazine please
So im assuming you have contacted the national TRF or the address that sent you the link, and reported these issues?
also if its a hard copy you want, have you requested this? please bear in mind the right person at national may not be reading this forum, lets at lease give the national guys a fighting chance to get it right eh?
