martin and bryan have requested a hand clearing the track before our event on Sunday 28th July.
can we have a few kind souls to help out please, manual thrashing and chopping will be required so tool up for that please. Any mechanical motorised aids may also be usefull.
it sounds like the brambles have ran riot over the wet spring so full length trousers and thick gloves are in order.
Ok Peeps, we have a small but well formed posse, (but a few more would be nice).
So lets meet at 10am at hazlewood please, any thrashing or cutting tools you can bring will be usefull, Bryan tells me the track is still there but the wet winter has see the bramble etc go loopy.
The hingstons have hopefully marked the course and there are some changes from last year due to an adjacent land owner having a birthday party.
Please dont forget we are cutting in an Trail riding course not a enduro superhighway, the woods ideally need to look like green lanes so dont worry too much about clearing every last bit of green from the route.
Thanks in advance for your help, see you all on saturday
Greetings I've been intouch and attended the farmers down at hazelwood early this year. I'm laying a track out partly ? on Thursday I'm taking the TRF trailer down this eve Wednesday the track will go clock wise this year so riders on the big bikes can open them up abit over the stream and up the hill In the far field there will be a section through the stream bed ? And poss some other little sections the farmers have suggested I m also considering putting a loop in one of the fields sim to twin shock meet just to let folk know what it's like Rideing turning on off cambrrs on grass ahem ? Steve dont think i can make it on saturday, would it be possible to lay as much course (distance) as possible and go the round the opposite way to last year as i and many other thought it was really hard work in places not what we want for novices.

The offer was there to use our quad for track laying to make things a bit easier.
Good luck with the event on Sunday, shame I can't be there to see how you've laid out the track - sounds great. Just make sure it is well marked as we all know how much some people moan.
Shame you'd finished by the time I got there. Saw Brian and had a quick chat, he didn't seem phased by me walking up to him holding a freshly sharpened machete.
