How many builders ask in merchants for 3m of 4x2 or 4.8m of 2x1 batten etc
Mind you, I was annoyed when I phoned Jewson today to see if they had 8x4 plasterboard. I was assured they do.
I double checked and said I wanted imperial 8x4 which is 2440 x 1220mm, not the metric 2400 x 1200.
I was told they did.
Guess what, they dont. the numpty said sorry, thought they did, everyone calls it 8x4
It wouldn't have been so annoying but they thought it was quite funny
