The annual membership you pay to join the TRF does not go to Devon TRF. It goes to the national TRF to help maintain the TRF as a whole. Some of it may be drip fed down to the local groups for various reasons.
Devon TRF Fundays and other Devon TRF organised events raise money for Devon TRF for us to spend how we see fit. Local ROW research, guest speakers, mileage for members attending public inquiries etc.
Devon TRF is not a business, it is a non profit making organisation. It is primarily a Rights of Way organisation helping to maintain and preserve Devon's green lanes, which we choose to combine with riding motorcycles on those vehicular rights of way.
Devon TRF does not need a massive bank balance as it is staffed by volunteers giving up their time for the greater good of ALL USERS of Devon's unsurfaced roads.
We are however united by a love of motorcycles!
The objects for which the Company is established are to preserve and protect the full status of vehicular Green Lanes and the rights of motorcyclists and others to use them as a legitimate part of the access network of the countryside and the doing of all such other things as are incidental or conducive to the attainment of that object including but not limited to acquiring or taking over all or any part of the assets, liabilities, activities or business of the present unincorporated body known as 'Trail Riders Fellowship (TRF) on such terms as the Company and TRF may agree.
