For a few years now I have produced a page or two for MAM, a free quarterly bike mag that's produced by Rob Blinkhorn, a biker who suffered a severe head injury as a result of a hit and run incident a few years ago.
He has worked on the mag as a kind of therapy with the hope and intention of it eventually getting him off benefits.
Now is that time.
The magazine will be available in it's usual paper format but also it will be downloadable worldwide. The potential to reach fellow bikers from all over will hopefully help the magazine grow.
Previously 'local' bikers have told about their bikes or journeys they've been on. In future it's hoped the bikes & journeys will be truely international.
Rob has organised a launch day at Cara's Diner on Sunday 17th November from 11 till 2.
If anyones in the area on the day why not go along and support Rob? 192-113 (bike wash) is very close along with several other great lanes in the area.
I'm intending to ride there & it would be great to have some other dirt bikes to mix in with all the gleaming road bikes. Pictures will be on line & no doubt in the next issue.
The mag will now cost £1.50, which is not a lot for a local magazine that is going worldwide. Also you'd be supporting a fellow biker who has supported DTRFG in his mag for a few years.
Anyone with stories, bikes or businesses that would like to appear worldwide in future issues should contact Rob.
