Funny how there are always more orange things for sale than any other colour, one wonders why orange riders need to change mounts so often, are they like cinderallas coach will turn into a pumpkin after so many hours running, or is it an inferiority complex that unless they change them as often as they need service them they will self destruct completely. Or could it be that they are vainly hoping that the next one may be the bike for them and the years of fruitless searching are finally over.

So many orange bikes for sale as there are so many around, stands to reason that as they sell more than the big jap four put together in the off-road world.

Yes agreed, but why? What is the inherent need to change so often, when owners of other makes keep their machines for much longer. What is the percentage of new KTM's produced that are never road registered and only used for racing, compared to the off road bikes made by other manufacturers.
