Advice from the MCC on spectating at Fingle or Simms here
Will be watching at tillerton, they went to fix the lane with stone on monday but gave up due to it being a river coming down so should make for good spectating !

I look forward to your video Jack.
Anyone else going to watch the spectacle pass by, there or anywhere else?
Simms is 191-088. they will be entering from the south.
Enjoy the banter.

If you approach form the south you will meet every competitor coming the other way. Ilsington is to the North of the hill and all competitors will be driving up Simms then turning left down Lenda lane before going up Tipley Hill .
Don't try to go down 191-088, or up 191-087 or down 191-089 or you will cause chaos.
Had an enjoyable few hours at Simms today watching the trial. Have never really watched the cars attempt the hill as have been keen to get to the finish when entered. Amazing really to see some cars rearing up as they hit the humps. Also enjoyed a nice pasty and cuppa at the village hall, home via the Widecombe lanes and stayed dry which was a bonus! nice day out.
Recognised a certain CRM in the hedge at the bottom of the hill, didn't see you though Pete .
Yes, all the best to you Pete, hope youre feeling better, looked like a nasty cut and a big shock from our viewpoint on the bank on the other side of the hill.
Pete was taken away in the marshals vehicle after being hit with a flying stone from an over enthusiastic pug 205.bleeding badly from a facial cut
Hope all is ok Pete
best wishes
Roger
I count myself lucky to have some lacerations not worth stitching and a broken nose. Still have two good eyes and no broken teeth so it could have been a whole lot worse. I will have two black eyes tomorrow for sure.
Look for the stone that broke my nose as it flys above the hand holding the program
The message did come across to us at Tipley Pete. Hope you are ok. The description given didn't sound like you. More like a handsome fella
We decided today to ask ATS if they want to open a tyre depot 2/3 of the way up Tipley ! It got a little tedious helping tired competitors to change wheels ..... quickly !
A cracking day though.
