I was heading into Exeter at around 3:00 pm and saw a lone rider on what looked like a white XR250 and they had a paper map hanging over the tank...

I think he means a borrowed rider, on loan, presumably from elsewhere?

I saw a lone klx up east hill yesterday he looked a bit lost, but he didn't stop.Just waved and then waved again going the other way.
