Next Wednesday 19th March the Norton Owners have as guest speaker Gordon Jackson at their club night This is held at the Kings Arms Inn, Tedburn St Mary, (Directions http://kingsarmsinn.co.uk/contact/how-to-fnd-us) and you are all invited. As you are probably more than aware Gordon Jackson won the Scottish six day trial numerous times and still holds the record (which has stood for well over 50 years) for only having ONE DAB throughout the entire six day event. The talk will begin at 7.30pm so as people to arrive for around 7.00pm or earlier if they want some really nice food that the pub offers, there is a car park at the pub also.
I'll be there because I've got a 350 AJS trials bike in the garage.
I met him in the news agents in Crediton some years ago, the owner of the shop pointed him out to me and said "you may have heard of him, he had something to do with bikes" !!!!!
He's a really nice guy and we chatted for some time.
Didnt see you there Bob, but what a great evening lots of old school trials and scramble talk - he wrode with the legends of the time, and a really nice bloke to talk to. He completed the Scottish with just one touch down, hence the nick name - one dab!

Didn't make it. I spent the afternoon moving 3.5 metres of fully stacked dexion shelving in my garage, only had to slide them along 4 inches to get a new cupboard in. Thought I'd need a lot of power to shift them so had a jack and lots of timber in place. Forgot that I had cut a wooden shelf bolted firmly to the top to fit nearly around the central heating pipes, you can guess the rest!
