I was coming up the A38 today and it dawned on me the ones in my car aren't working/have fallen off - I assume that's the thing that keeps everyone stuck in the outside lane for mile after mile after mile while the inside lane is empty?

In a similar vein, was in a queue for petrol at Tesco Dorchester on Sunday on the AJS. The old git in front had paid for his fuel and stayed sat at the pump for ages faffing around looking at maps, shifting stuff around in the car etc. I sat patiently on the bike because I didn't want to perpetuate the hooligan biker image but I was wearing the armoured gloves and my fists were itching.........

The hooligan biker image has been around for decades and will remain for generations to come. Don't be so patient next time
I once followed a woman in a silver people carrier all the way from Exeter to the M42 and she never left the middle lane once. There was a comedy moment near Bristol when a police chase went both sides of her at high speed a second after the vehicle they were chasing had undertaken her on the inside while another car overtook her.
I was driving on the expressways in Japan a couple of months ago, they let lorries in every lane over there. It was a nightmare, sitting behind queues of lorries for hours, all of them doing within a few mph of each other.
Not sure i will ever complain about our motorways again after that, not for a couple months at least
