Well I have had Wesley a few days now and 'fettled' him to my liking, the forecast was good and I had a rare clear day in the diary so took a day off to give him a proper test
I didn't have any plan on where to go so set off out this morning in the sunshine and just let Wes lead the way now though I loved the KTM with Wes I soon found that I was peering over the hedges admiring the view which I don't ever recall doing on the KTM. If ever I took my eyes off the ball for a second on that it would bite - not Wes, he did all the hard work and I just enjoyed the ride and the scenery......
I did a few gentle lanes to start - and stopped after a few to make sure all was well and nothing had 'come adrift'.
All was well and I was now starting to get used to being back on a 4 stroke, I had forgotten what engine braking was and that going down hill slowly with me in control instead of the bike was actually possible
A few more lanes and it was getting warm so I decided to head down to the coast to see if it was any cooler...
It wasn't so I headed to Tim's for some 'refreshment' and had a nice brew in his garden while Mrs Tim painted the garden wall - which made me feel very tired so I decided to head off in land again in search of some shady lanes.
By now I was really 'in the groove' and I think my face shows how much I was enjoying my time on the Honda
From Beer I did a few lanes over to Colyton and beyond.
About 4 hours in the saddle and all was well, and I didn't feel 'beaten up' as I would have on the stroker.....was far from ready to go home so zig zag'd my way around for a couple more hours till about 5 and then thought I had better head home before SWMBO wondered where I was.
A perfect day - and I think I may have found my perfect lane machine

It was possibly the most enjoyable day on the lanes I have ever had, no time pressure, no one else with me to 'worry about', great weather, no plan, not a sole about - bloody fantastic and has 're enthused' me
