Thanks for the tip about watching from Exmouth. Mrs TTR took a couple of the ankle biters down to watch and little Mackenzie was most impressed!
Unfortunately I had to stay home to do some essential work but I caught sight of a pair of old bombers flying low over the village on their way back home - very impressive - shame I have no idea what they were
Think this summers air shows across the UK may be the last time that the two remaining (airworthy) lancasters would be seen flying together, one normally lives in Canada and made the trip across very recently.
Best listened to with the sound, and the bass, turned right up. I heard the rumble of the Lancasters from all the way up on top of Dartmoor! Eight unsilenced 27 litre V12 motors is hard not to notice. Music for petrol heads.
The Royal Navy Westland Sea King flew over me a couple of times on its way there and back too. Busy skies that day with the air ambulance out and about as well.
