Skivers run

Goalkeeper

All took a self employed workers day ofsmilesmile

99.8 miles.......51 lanes....... average speed 13.4mph......7hours 27mins

Great Company and Great day outsmilesmile Mixed bag of bikes, though 2 ttr's made it worth whilebiggrinbiggrin

2014-11-03 09.24.31.jpg

Started at mine with a bacon and egg sandwichaww Got going by 9.15 after tea and yappingbiggrin Took in a few lanes till we got to the river Taw at north tawton, I know this crossing very well and the river was in full flow and I know there is a deep washout in the middle, so we decided to PUSH the bikes over the footbridge and this is what happened on the decent.....

Sorry for the blurred picture, but I was laughing sooooo muchbiggrinbiggrinbiggrin

We carried on taking in the lanes heading out to throwleigh  and so on. I got stung on the back of the neckconfuseconfusejust before going into 191-068 which is a great lane in either direction!

From there up to widecombe on the moor for a coffe break, nearly went into the pubnono. Great lanes up there, but did not clean191-084no Next timefurious. From there on they were all new lanes to me, 191-096 fantastic through the woodssmile Few more lanes and then onto 191-105 which is not much..but leads into 191-087 Great slippy climb, loved it. This leads into a nice loop of lanes and if I would have looked at the overlays better, I would have put in 191-088no Will have to do that next time! On we pushed to191-075 Must be one of the longest and best lanes out theresmilesmilesmile No dramas crossing the river at North Bovey. Few more lanes and then onto fingle bridge, downhill and as hoc has not done this lane before, he was encourage to go back up and then down again. While I am talking about hoc, he has a lovely new chariot and from this photo he will need to find the pot of gold for it's upkeepbiggrinbiggrin

From there on it was plane sailing back home, apart from 191-049 which nearly had me off and I forgot to tell the others about the dogs on 191-044biggrinbiggrinbiggrin and my last surprise 191-039, just to finish things of nicelysmilesmile A couple of lanes back tracking and into the red lion at exbourne for a quick couple of pints. If Carling made green laning it would be like this!

Great day, lads. Thanks to you Steve for brekkie and leading us on such a good and challenging route. It was a real shame about the wasp sting (I loved your dance), but I recon that's Karma for laughing at me, you bugger
Well worth the journey down from Somerset. Cheers. Mark
