10 riders, nearly all bikes or riders in fancy dress, there was one that was not, lets just call him scrooge
Tech Stuff first.....
55.8 miles.....21 lanes......average speed 11.1mph......max speed 61.5mph (me going back to pick up the ones what got left behind)
Left exbourne cross garage, took in 191-025, which someone has tried to block with crates (no such luck)
Sampford Courtenay lanes, very easy. Did not bother going out to 191-020, trying to drown 10 bikes on xmas eve is not my idea of fun
Of to ****tree throat wood, what a name! not a bad lane! 191-034 and 191-035 the later being a great lane loved watching the unsuspecting in the puddle on 191-040
Lane at south tawton then onto 191-049 a rutty lane, which we stopped at the end for mince pies and clotted cream, courtesy of hoc 191-051 was next then 191-054. Finle bridge was next, pub was not open for a coffee, but we had a good chat to some nice horse riders
191-055 next, met a grumpy walker who was blocking the lane and shaking he's walking stick at me aggressively and I'm afraid I got off my bike to have a chat in the same manner that he was talking to me I ride my bike with the respect of riding in the country side and when someone has a go at me I respond in the same manner I am not apologetic for what we do and I am not good at diplomacy when someone is telling me I am riding illegally, when they are the ones committing an offence, by blocking my right of travel on a legal laneany way after a couple of minutes of dialog, we were off again and had some pork pies from Stevo at the end of the lane!
Please do not post a load of stuff about the walker, as I have forgot about it already and any how, he was arguing with father Christmas(me) so that's he's xmas stuffed....Ha.Ha
Of To Chagford for a coffee and then 191-062, where I think the only badger of the day bit someone. Couple more lanes and onto a old favourite 191-053 Lovely Dartmoor lane! Bramble lane 191-048 is clear of brambles Then missed out rover lane Then my favourite 191-039, took a 4 on that today nearly at the finish as well hoc jnr cleaned it! Back tracked the sampford Courtney lanes and into the red lion for a quick pint!
Loved it Great bunch of lads and *nearly* everyone we passed gave as a wave and cheer!
Please could some of the lads add photos and video.
Glad you had a great ride. Glad you put walker in his place (but I won't mention that).
I went out with Adamski and Victor and we had a great morning around South Hams - I took them along the lane of pain for a festive treat. But even better stopped off at my mates house near this lane and had coffee and mince pies too.
No fancy dress for us humbuggers.
Great ride tho - zero badgers I think - but maybe Adam had a little one on the pain lane.
