After todays ride out i thought it is time to sort my tool bag out with some esentials. So already on the list then, 1 x front tube, 1 x rear tube, set of short handeld tire levers, 12v pump or hand pump at least cable ties small socket set with allen keys

personally I'd recommend mousses front and rear and thereby save all the attendant hassle of carrying all that gear together with forgetting the fear of a puncture.
They are pricey but my last ones kept going for 3 years.....so good investment in my view.
I would have to agree with cubber on that one!!!!
If the plod know anything about bikes you'd be stright in nick...... Must say though I would just take a 21" tube that way it can be used in both front and back... If your unlucky enough to get two punctures in one ride there is only one answer that's calling the wife or AA/RAC ether way you get yo have a pint
The HD and UHD tubes have a nasty (and expensive!) habit of losing their valve stems so probably better off with an ordinary inner tube. Just skin it with an old tube and surely you have the same effect and easier to change the tube if need be?
