My husky is refusing to start with FAIL appearing and staying on the computer! In the manual they say it is a fuel injection problem - has anyone else encountered this problem or something similar? Does the bike need to plugged into some software for a 'health-check'?  Where is the best place to go- I live in Bude!

Is the battery okay, as JT said if the battery is even slightly low then it won't prime the FIP

Hi, thanks for the advice! Just checked the battery and it's fine! The fuel pump is not running at all! Turn the key and there is only a 'click'! Would be perfect if it was an easy fix! Not keen on transporting it too Thor or St. Blazey!

Could still be a cell in a battery failed. Check O2 Resistor plug (under Tank) . Remove and clean contacts, try again . Only needs moisture in a sensor connection to trigger "Fail" . Could also be a fuel pump failure

Thanks again! Is it a difficult job to check the o2 resistor plug, as I am useless when it comes electrics etc?

Just clean the contacts and check for any moisture

there is a sensor on the back of the engine, check that the contacts on that are clean cause that will shut the system down.

i use Justin Gibbs Saltash or you have Thor in Bodmin

Have you checked all of the fuses, on my 449 there was a hidden fuse which had come loose stopping the ignition/pump system working.

I've checked all the fuses! Would have been ideal if one had blown - nice quick fix! Phoned Thor, bloke on the phone seemed really helpful! Are they any good? Never used them before!

Find an Ibeat software download and make a cable up.

I used Thor for my Gasgas , they were very helpful and sorted out the ecu prob with minimal fuss.
