I had a few hours to spare this morning, Doug was busy, Guff was all the way over in Exmouth so I JFDI on my own again Set off from town and did the East of East route for a bit ending up on 192-065 where the rain started noted how nice and clear this lane is now as someone has been up it with a flail
The now obligitory JT selfy shot
Can't remember where I went next but must have included 192 - 087 as I have this pic noted the lip above where the bike is stood has been graded a bit now.
Anyway I ended up at Beer after a couple of hours (Duckys was open)
Did't go and see Tim as I remebered he said he was away, didn't have any cash on me for a brew so headed off to find a quiet spot to make my own and stopped at the top of 098
My Jetboil (Jason I was so impressed with yours mate I had to get one and it gets used a lot ) was brought into action.
What a difference a nice steaming hot brew makes on a damp cold day - note the red mug to match the Honda
Brew up over with I headed down 098 and across to Colyton - note 094 in the distance.....
I then headed up towards 088 and got caught up in a load of traffic out following a hunt, and met another lone (Non TRF) trail rider at the end of 071 on a XR 250 so stopped for a chat. By now I had lost track of time and my 2 hour jaunt had ended up being a 5 hour trip so thought I had better head (reluctantly) for home.......the long way via 072, 087 again, 066, 065, 063, 049 and 048.....
Brilliant, Brilliant day - Don't let the weather forcast or lack of riding buddies put you off, just get out there and JFDI
It was a lovely day for trail riding, saw your tracks but no other bikes. The tarmac was slippery today wasn't it. I had several 'moments' today, all on the black stuff.
