All gone a bit weird I was on the a2e event and it all updated to the new version, and freaked me out sure we will all get the hang of it, have had a bit of a look earlier and it seems the same thing's are there, but in a different format.
trying to find the tracks, as I need to send my tracklog of the a2e to john leah. Will let you know when I sort it out or if anyone does it first please post up!
does anyone know of a quick guide or pdf manual for viewranger - "feel like i'm in a dark room filled with glue"
+1
I thought I would see what this viewfinder was like compared to Memory map and I'm LOST already.
1. Managed to track myself but then e mailed route to myself but there's no attachment to download so I cant retrieve the route
2. Downloaded TRF overlays in GPX format to my Samsung S5 then gone into settings and selected import/export, then import externally and the GPX file comes up, press file and it says import complete but I cant find anything.
WHAT AM I DOING WRONG???????
Also does anyone know how to keep my Samsung screen on longer than 10 minutes as the I phone in settings has a feature to lock screen indefinitely but the Samsung has only a 10 minute option, which is pretty useless on a 8 hour bike ride

I use a Samsung and all you do is from within Viewranger select >options. then Preferences> and then tick the second option down 'Screen on for Session' box

Not sure about a manual, but feel free to ask questions and we will do our best to answer.
Make sure you select the private function, as if you don't you will share all your routes and our lanes onto the www.
John knows how to do this, hope he will post it up.
As for loading the lanes, have a look in the pc part of the forum, as we have done all this before. If I remember right you have to plug your phone into your pc then find your phone, then find viewranger on it, and drag and drop the lane gpx into there. then unplug the phone and in settings in viewranger import/ export, should be there, like I say more details on the pc advice part of the forum.

i plotted and saved a route on my pc whilst logged into viewranger and then logged onto VR on my samsung s5 and got the route by going to settings/synchronize content - then was able to view my saved routes and tracks..
