We met at the BP garage at 6 and had a little drama straight away as Geoffs new rear brake pads and disc had been overheating on the way up and once he had stopped it continued to get hotter and caused the fluid to boil and the brake pipe coming from the rear of the calliper to burst off, so it looked as if Geoff was on his way home before he started but he decided to do the whole ride on just the front brake.

So off we all set and started with 170, then the narrow C159, then the long 171 and  across the main road and into 172, then down to the lovely 180 and on to 173, then instead of the normal 174 up to Wheeldon we did 302 instead then 181.

Everywhere was still fairly dusty but nowhere as bad as last week after the rain we have had, then onto 204 and then we turned into the transformed 197 then the nice 198 used on the Ten tors where a few of us needed a leak J then 184 and 182 where all the gates were unusually open then to 176 then the lovely C074 uphill and down 160 to Bow bridge where we stopped in the car park of the Watermans  and managed a quick pint before crossing the ford 444 and then up the hill to the short 321 and then along to 155 and 156 and then a little road work to 295 now regraded, then along the main road and into 144 where the water is quiet low at the moment but muddy, then 143 where at the end someone was inspecting the underside of their van, we managed to squeeze through and down 133 and 132 then up the road and into 142 which was also almost dry but gooey then down 131 and into the short 421 with the plank as a bridge, then some road work to take us to 130 then down to the main road under the bridge where we  discovered that Neil had a front puncture so he decided to head for home .

We carried on to the narrow 128 and then to 129 where the chain fairies had been hard at work to allow us through, then more road work to take us to 450 and then finally 154 Woo Hoo downhill to end our evening just as it was getting dark, we returned to the garage where we said our goodbyes.

I had a great time as always and great company once more.

34 lanes 45 miles

Badger free I think

Next evening run Thursday 14th May Kingsbridge Way

Sorry no pics just a track log.

Good evenings run boyz. Glad Geoff managed it with his front brake (I remember a run report I put in a few years back titled "90+ miles with no front brake" when my lads front caliper snapped within a few miles of starting a run). Lol
