Hello again, hopefully some of you will remember me from years past Thanks to Harty for reactiviating my old account, I popped in here a few weeks back just lurking and noticed what I thought was my old KTM! Anyway, I'll post about that in the relevant thread.
Oh god, I can only imagine how that conversation went. Yes, that's right, back into road bikes, but interestingly having a lot of discussions recently about a return to the dirt, although that's unlikely as my budget won't stetch to that! Hope you're well Brian.
Welcome back Hoops, come on matey, you know a dirt bike needn't cost much,, you know it makes sense .
BTW, your pads are still saving my old knackered knees .
I'd love one, there's been lots of talk about it, but on the back burner now (not least of all for convincing SWMBO). Glad the knee guards are still of use! Take it easy
Well, did a couple of lanes last night in the dark, I need some practice No offs, no badgers, but came close once (if there wasn't a high bank I'd have been over!). First time in nearly 3 years - apart from a couple of outings on my Explorer - that I've ridden a green lane! Onwards and upwards as they say
Right, back properly now, TRF membership re-acquired First "official" TRF run for about 3 years coming up in a couple of days time, looking forward to getting out and about with a few of you soon
Change is the only thing that remains constant Pete .......
I guess some might feel that things were better in the past but a period of time away and then returning could create an expectation?
If your main interaction with DTRF is through this forum, then you will probably be aware that all forums are cyclical and go through periods of growth and buzz with energy and at other times folk get a bit circumspect and hold off posting.
Its through the efforts of the collective that we have the network we have and the respect of the PRoW folk though, so it would be good to identify any disillusion and ideas to remedy before any negative cycle gets legs.

On a positive note the CRM started fourth kick today after it's latest rebuild, sounds sweet and I am well pleased.
Just got to run it in now, again, then I'm looking forward to getting out on some rides.
