Went for a solo run yesterday as My Wife and Daughter have got into Horses so their riding time leaves me with a little more riding time
Decided to investigate around Tavistock but try some that I haven't done before as well as the normal ones
Was working off paper maps as have no power on the 2 smoke to power the sat nav or phone (have ordered a power pack to boost the battery power on the I phone now) so I did miss a few lanes and wasn't sure about a couple but still had a great afternoon out and met a nice man who took the photo of me checking the water height in the river and e mailed it to me. lol
Sorry not much of a report but heres a few photos
Lopwell Dam when its to deep to cross.
South entrance of 201-064
At the river bank at the South end of 201-032 looking across to Cornwall, a couple of land rovers went across as I was there.
A view from the Cornwall side Yes that means I went across but not how you think as I was on my own and it was over my Knees and a long way across I decided to take a paddle
The nice man who took this photo on his phone and then e mailed it to me once I was home told me its one of the lowest he has seen the river and it was still above my knees with a fair few large hidden rocks. He and his kids tried to convince me to cross on the bike but I chicken out
A great Devon View
