three guys came up from Devon on Saturday for a days ride around some of Dorset's finest Dave on his 350 Freeride , Marc and Si both on there 450 Yamaha's Geoff my mate on his ktm 250 and me on the Husky 350 , after the exchange of greetings , we had our hot drinks and breakfast bapps that the better half had kindly made for us . kitted up and away frim mine buy 9.50 we headed off to our first lane of the day which happened to be a run up a river bed that we call long ford , then on past the impressive multi million pound whitcombe riding stables . continuing on taking in more lanes before reaching the long river crossing on Morton drove ( near Lawrence of Arabia's grave) this is a lovely crossing and if you choose the correct line not to deep . the rest of the day continued on a steady pace with a nice mixture of lanes eventually finishing up riding the pebbles of the west Bexington to Abbotsbury beach run . the weather was very kind to us we completed 112 miles in about seven hours . All horse riders , dog walkers, and ramblers that we met were all very friendly .A big thanks to the lads for making it a good day ,for me this is what Trail riding is all about sharing a good day out with new friends on the bikes....
