Frame guards

Hi I want to make some frame guards for my freeride, they are to protect the aluminium frame from the side of my boots rubbing.

Anybody got any suggestions about how to do it. One idea I had was to use some sticky kevlar type material something like this

Make a card template and them cut it out. Anybody got any better ideas.

Don't fight the wear and tear Nick, gives the bike a nice patina.

Let the lacquer wear off and polish up with Autosol.

Whatever you apply will look iffy after  few rides.

I didn't fancy the Powerparts ones because they were solid black,

so I just bought some clear M3 tape, so you can see the ali frame, and made my own.  My first attempts have been on there over 12 months now and still looking good.

Your attention Nick will now move to the clutch casing!

In the pass I've used sticky back emery cloth , or sim anti slip self adhesive for steps again sim to emery ?

I looked into making carbon fibre parts but by the time I bought the carbon - catalyst - release agent and resin let alone making the mould it was cheaper buying the parts already made.
